Established in 2007 BodyTechnic is led by its founder Mike Slater.

Mike started his career in the sunbeds and tanning industry in 2000, single handedly running a service and repair department for a Birmingham based sunbed company that imported and supplied high power commercial sunbeds from Germany. Here he arranged installations, repairs and servicing, sending out spare parts, liaising and delegating with a nationwide network of engineers to complete the work, and dealt with the UK’s top Beauty Salons, Spas, Health Clubs, Gyms, and other high profile Leisure Facilities.

Whilst  working on the sunbeds himself and preparing new sunbeds for delivery and installation  in the company warehouse, and having always been technically competent and able to work with tools, Mike soon realised that instead of being office based he would be well suited to become an engineer himself.

After less than 1 year the opportunity arose for Mike to join a local company that he had already worked with to complete sunbed installations, and service work, and so began a new life on the road travelling the UK as a sunbed service engineer.

After 2 years, another opportunity came, to work again as a service engineer on the road but with a London based service company that repaired and supplied sunbeds, spray tanners, gym equipment, and also Beauty and Aesthetic Devices.

Importantly Mike had noticed that the sunbed industry had peaked and due to negative publicity it was time to branch out into new sectors.

It was here that Mike started to work with LPG Endermologie Beauty and Aesthetic Devices, servicing, repairing and installing devices for the distributor at the time CACI International.

When CACI International approached Mike directly to work for them in 2006 after noticing he was completing all the installations, repairs and servicing of LPG devices in the UK Mike accepted the offer albeit on a self employed basis in order to keep the sunbed work he had built up to that point. Shortly after this BodyTechnic was formed in 2007.

BodyTechnic was the UKs only authorised service company for LPG Endermologie devices on behalf of Caci International and also refurbished and supplied sunbed and tanning equipment to Beauty Clinics, Spas, Gyms, Health Clubs and Golf Clubs.

When approached by LPG directly in 2010 as LPG had entered the UK market, Mike accepted their offer to undertake all their servicing, repairs, and installations as well as stocking and handling all spare parts orders for LPG devices in the UK.

From 2010 to 2015 BodyTechnic invested heavily in LPG Endermologie spare parts bought directly from LPG as Mike knew exactly what parts were needed and wanted to guarantee and commit to the servicing and repairing of LPG Endermologie devices for the infinite future.

In 2015 due to conflicting interests with LPG whose focus was new machine sales like any manufacturer, and having invested so heavily in spare parts and believing in the technology and current range of devices from an engineers perspective, Mike made a decison with the wealth of knowledge he had obtained from working with LPG Endermologie devices for over 12 years to go completely independent and to focus on supplying refurbished LPG Endermologie devices as well as other Aesthetic Devices from other manufacturers around the world.

As of today the company has gone from strength to strength and is proud to have over 1000 happy customers worldwide many of whom have purchased devices directly from BodyTechnic.

Unlike other equipment suppliers, the roots of the company have not been forgotten and repairs and servicing and excellent customer service remains the core of the business.
